EquiJet Congratulates Lexi Ray and Caroline Di Vittorio on Victories in $10,000 EquiJet U25 Summer Series at Angelstone Tournaments

Ontario, Canada – Sept. 3, 2019 – EquiJet is thrilled to congratulate Lexi Ray and Caroline Di Vittorio on their impressive wins in the $10,000 EquiJet Under 25 Summer Series, hosted at Angelstone Tournaments in Erin, Ontario. Taking place in the Main Stadium, the two-part series aimed to provide additional opportunities for the next generation of equestrian athletes to gain valuable experience in the show ring. EquiJet is proud to have been a supporter in this endeavor for young athletes and congratulates both young riders and their horses on their stellar performances. With each of their wins, Ray and Di Vittorio were both awarded a flight voucher on behalf of EquiJet to help them further grow in their competitive careers.

Lexi Ray (left center) topped the podium in the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Phase I, and Caroline Di Vittorio (right center) won the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Final.

“Congratulations to Lexi and Caroline on their well-deserved wins in the $10,000 EquiJet Under 25 Summer Series! Supporting these classes has been one of the highlights of our summer, and we are thrilled with how the series turned out. The exhibitors put on a great show, and we can’t wait to work with the four young competitors who earned travel credits to help them organize their horses’ transportation to a future event. Angelstone Tournaments has been amazing to work with, and we found this to be one of our most valuable partnerships,” commented Bastian Schroeder, Founder and President of EquiJet.

Lexi Ray and Jewel

The first round of the two-part series, the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Phase I, took place Friday, Aug. 23 in front of a lively crowd to commence the competition. After a technical first round that asked athletes to master the track with precision, six horse-and-rider combinations had qualified for a spot over the short course in the jump-off. Though three partnerships were able to master the abridged pattern with zero faults, one pair was the clear victor as they completed the course more than six seconds ahead of the next-closest finisher. Riding to a time of 43.589, Ray and Jewel clinched the tricolor and the top spot on the podium as the series’ early leaders, followed by Emma Slaunwhite and Truly Canadian in second position in a time of 49.807 seconds. Mackenzie Wray piloted Jewel LVP to third place overall to round out the podium.

Caroline Di Vittorio and Auburn Des Rosiers

The finale returned to Angelstone Tournaments the following week on Friday, Aug. 30, with contenders once again challenging the course for a shot at the coveted prize. Following a hard-fought class in the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Final, one pair had separated themselves from the pack as the only double-clear duo of the evening. Tripping the timers in 42.908 seconds with all the fences intact, Di Vittorio and Auburn De Rosiers secured victory ahead of the jump-off field to conclude the series with a new accolade to their names and the lead spot in the victory gallop. Chanelle Sjolander finished in second place aboard Cuenta Atras, while Barbara Ruziska rode Dynamite to third position.

Thanks to EquiJet’s dedication to supporting up-and-coming young equestrians, flight vouchers were awarded to the top two finishers in each class in an effort to encourage them to pursue their passion, even at competitions that might seem geographically too far away. As a company that operates internationally, EquiJet is committed to promoting the growth of equestrian sport across the world, especially for young up-and-coming athletes. As one of the premier horse show venues in Canada with a dedication to excellence and outstanding facilities, Angelstone Tournaments was a perfect partner for EquiJet to host its U25 initiative.
