EquiJet Enjoys Main Hunter Ring Sponsorship at Lake Placid Horse Show
Lake Placid, N.Y. – June 26, 2019 – With the summer horse show season officially in full swing, EquiJet is pleased to add another popular competition to its sponsorship repertoire as one of the newest supporters of the Lake Placid Horse Show. From June 25 – 30 and July 2 – 7, the EquiJet Main Hunter Ring will host professional, junior and amateur hunter competitors in a variety of divisions for the two weeks of the Lake Placid Horse Show and I Love New York Horse Show.
“As exhibitors, we love Lake Placid Horse Shows, so it was a natural fit for EquiJet to begin its relationship as a sponsor this year. We are so excited to be a part of the horse show’s 50th anniversary, and are already looking forward to our 2020 involvement,” commented Bastian Schroeder, Founder and President of EquiJet. “The entire team is particularly happy to be aligned with such a well-regarded horse show, and we look forward to visiting with clients as well as old and new friends on-site for two weeks of exciting competition.”
For the next two years, the flagship hunter arena on the showgrounds will be named the EquiJet Main Hunter Ring, which this summer will house the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by Eastern Hay & Purina Animal Nutrition, on Sunday, July 7 to close out equestrian action at “The Best Two Weeks of a Horseman’s Summer.” Throughout the two weeks of riding, the EquiJet Main Hunter Ring will also feature the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, presented by Lukens Horse Transportation, as well as a number of classes and championships for hunter and equitation athletes.
Lake Placid, site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games, is home to two of the nation’s most prestigious equine masterpieces – the Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows. With almost $550,000 in prize money and awards, the two-week series has set itself apart as one of the Northeast’s favorite events, attracting equestrians from across the country. Known as a destination horse show, Lake Placid offers a stunning backdrop and the surrounding area is prime for exhibitors and spectators to enjoy downtown art galleries, spas and restaurants, as well as nearby Mirror Lake. This year, the Lake Placid Horse Show series is particularly special, as 2019 marks its 50th year, with celebrations slated to continue throughout the competition weeks.
